WIT Work Exhibition in Palembang: 12 School Shows P5 Learning Results

Kampus Pemimpin Merdeka (MOE) bersama PT Paragon Technology and Innovation (ParagonCorp) holding a Works Exhibition Festival. The activity took place on Saturday (25/11) at the South Sumatra Provincial Mobilization Center, Palembang. This event is at the same time a learning celebration for 2000 Wardah Inspiring Teacher participating teachers (WIT) 2023.

WIT is an appreciation program for teachers in the form of a learning program to improve competence. This year, Participants receive training and assistance to implement the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) for three months.

“WIT participating teachers don't just study, but also share what has been learned. This is a space that we have the facility to share. Of course the hope is, forward, 2000 these teachers continue to share good practices, on various occasions,”Explained Rizqy Rahmat Hani, chief of the MoE.

As a new component, There are still many teachers and schools who are confused about how to implement P5. Not a few people experience misconceptions, so that student learning outcomes are not optimal.

Through work exhibitions, teachers can learn from other teachers who have implemented it first. The work displayed does not only show the final result, but also the process and challenges.

“Often when studying with a project system, we are trapped in misconceptions that focus on the product. At this exhibition, we want to show you, If it's a project, the output doesn't have to be a product. Moreover, P5 aims to build student character. The process is very important in forming student character,said Rizqy.

Besides Palembang, The Karya exhibition festival will also be held in Bogor, Makassar, and stone in early December. In Palembang there is 12 schools are involved as exhibition fillers and 8 teachers share good practices.

P5 Entrepreneurship: Differentiated learning to grow souls Entrepreneurship Student

Latifah Tul Hariyah, One WIT participant who was chosen to share good practices at the exhibition, Tells his experience in applying the P5 theme of Entrepreneurship. This year is the second year for his school to implement the Merdeka Curriculum.

He confessed, in the first year, The application of P5 in his school the teacher still dominates as a facilitator. As a result, The student's ideas did not appear and the enthusiasm of the students was invisible.

"When I joined the new WIT, it was enlightened. We try to use the guide Successful Book of Cikal Teacher Campus Profile Project given. There is a Finding Flow, imagine, do, and share. We follow every step, It feels like every activity becomes more meaningful, students are more enthusiastic about learning,"Said the Palembang Pusri Middle School teacher.

In the flow of find, Latifah and fellow teachers of P5 facilitators give lighter questions to students. They also invite students to play product and service cards. Pupils play role as entrepreneurs and customers at school cooperatives.

Next at the Imagine stage, Students discuss the needs and desires. Then they conducted a survey around the school with questions prepared in groups. Latifah also brought in a local entrepreneur resource person to provide additional knowledge to students.

After getting a lot of new views, Latifah helps students issue their own version of entrepreneurship ideas. Then at the level of doing, Students get the opportunity to learn directly to make the product or service they want. Students also make financial planning and marketing.

The final stage, Students get the chance to market their work. Besides that, There is a work exhibition to celebrate the student learning process.

"Very surprise for us there is a gallery of paintings and photo booths sketch which they open and receive services to make paintings and photos sketch. Extraordinary changes and differentiation that occurred in our students who began to grow the spirit of entrepreneurs from an early age,”Close Latifah.
