15 Schools in Makassar Appear at the P5 Work Exhibition Festival

Kampus Pemimpin Merdeka (MOE) together PT Paragon Technology and Innovation (ParagonCorp) collaborate with Makassar Archipelago Learning Teacher Community held a Festival Exhibition of Work on Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5).

The activity took place on Sunday (3/12) at the South Sulawesi Province Teacher Mobilization Center and broadcast online via YouTube. This event is a series of learning for 2000 Wardah Inspiring Teacher participating teachers (WIT) 2023.

WIT is an appreciation program for teachers in the form of a learning program to improve competence. This year, Participants receive training and assistance to implement P5 for three months.

“WIT participating teachers don't just study, but also share what has been learned. This is a space that we have the facility to share. Of course the hope is, forward so that 2000 these teachers continue to share good practices, on various occasions," bright Rizqy Rahmat Hani, chief of the MoE.

As a new component, There are still many teachers and schools who are confused about how to implement P5. Not a few people experience misconceptions, so that student learning outcomes are not optimal.

Through work exhibitions, teachers can learn from other teachers who have implemented it first. The work that appears does not only show the final result, but also the process and challenges.

“Often when studying with a project system, we are trapped in misconceptions that focus on the product. At this exhibition, we want to show you, If it's a project, the output doesn't have to be a product. Moreover, P5 aims to build student character, student competence. The process is very important in forming student character and competence,said Rizqy.

Apart from Makassar, The Art Exhibition Festival is also on Palembang, Batu, and Bogor. In Makassar there is 15 schools were involved as exhibitors and five teachers shared good practices.

P5 Work Exhibition: Use the Workbook from the Cikal Teachers College

Yusminiwati, Athirah Islamic High School teacher 1 Makassar, one of the sources of good practice, hope, work exhibitions are often held in Makassar. According to him, The work exhibition is a place to give appreciation to the student's learning process so that it can grow self-confidence and motivation.

On that occasion, Yusminiwati, tells the story of the P5 learning process at his school with the theme Build Your Body and Soul. During deployment, he received assistance from the WIT team and Profile Project Success Workbook facilities from Kampus Guru Cikal.

“We combine it with scout activities. Topiknya Get Your Mental Health Better at Scouting. The goal is to get more students aware on the mental health of yourself and those around you,"explained the class X teacher.

Yusminiwati and her fellow P5 teacher facilitators used the discovery flow, imagine, do, and share. At the discover stage, Several activities carried out by students aim to increase students' understanding of mental health, one of which is a sharing session with a psychologist.

Then at the imagine level, students work on worksheets (LK) mind-mapping. Students write what activities they can do while camping that can support their mental health (emotional wellbeing).

Next is the do stage, students do focus group discussionn and commit to positive behavior throughout camping. Positive behavior such as no seniority, diligent in worship, and help each other in every activity.

At the share stage, Students carry out campaigns to spread awareness of mental issues. Students choose different ways, someone made a poster, infographics, to vlogs.

“Student involvement, collaboration in the process, is meaningful learning for students in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project.
