Six regional heads received "Dewi Sartika Awards" from the Teacher Learning Foundation (YGB). They received awards for supporting the movement of teachers in their regions to form an ecosystem that is free to learn. This award was given during the pnucak Nusantara Educators Gathering X (TPN X) of Basketball Hall, Bung Karno's surge, on Saturday (21/10).

The six regents, namely H. Shah Afandin (Step up), Rusma Yul Anwar (South Coast), Inspiration Syah Azikin (Bantaeng, 2018-2023), Paolus Hadi (Sanggau), Heru Budi (DKI Jakarta), Acquisition from (South Labuhanbatu).

“This is a recognition of the individual, organization, and local government, who have contributed to changes in independent learning education," say Bukik Setiawan, head of the YGB.

Apart from the Dewi Sartika Awards, also given "Ki Hajar Dewantara Awards" for independent teachers to study, "Rohana Kudu Awards" for teachers who work and have a protean career, "and the "Mohammad Syafei Awards" for professional organizations that actively collaborate to create an independent learning ecosystem.

"Teachers have too many burdens, too little appreciation. Through this appreciation, We hope it can strengthen teachers to continue the struggle. Learning changes that go beyond the classroom,” explained Bukik.

Bukik hopes, appreciation is a standard that can be a role model in the world of education. Appreciation is not reward, but rather recognition and reinforcement for those who have worked hard to realize child-friendly learning

Rusma Yul Anwar Appreciates Educators in the South Coast

Rusma Yul Anwar, regent of Pesisir Selatan, was present in person at the summit of TPN X to receive the award. On that occasion, he confirmed, Regional leaders should support teachers to continue learning.

“I thank and greatly appreciate the teachers in Pesisir Selatan, that without us telling, without us asking, have the initiative to continue learning so that their competence increases, so that education in Pesisir Selatan continues to improve,said Rusma.

Apart from being present to receive the award, Rusma was also present to accompany him 39 teachers from the area who studied at the peak of TPN X. At this event, There were four teams from Pesisir Selatan who took part in the Guru Quiz (CCG) archipelago level. CCG is an effort by YGB to improve teacher competency in an exciting way.

Before becoming regional head in one of the districts in South Sumatra, Rusma has long experience in the world of education. He once taught in Payakumbuh and was a school principal in Painan.

He revealed, This experience was very valuable because it made him understand how important the role of teachers is. However, Teachers also need support from many parties, including local government.

"Eager to learn 39 This teacher needs to be appreciated. They traveled overland to Jakarta. These mobile teachers really support changes in education in Pesisir Selatan,” concluded Rusma.
